How a build works
Most people have never commissioned a conversion before and are not sure what to ask. This is the whole process, start to finish.

First conversation
A phone call or a visit to the workshop. What you want the van for matters more than a spec list. Weekends away and full-time living need different builds.

Design and quote
Layout, materials and spec agreed and written down before anything starts. You get a price for the work described, not a range that moves later.

The build
One van at a time. Photo updates as it goes so you can see progress and raise anything early, while changes are still cheap.

Handover
A full walkthrough of how everything works (heating, power, water, gas) before you drive it away.
Repairs work differently
A repair usually starts with a look at the van, because damp and rot are rarely only where they show. John will tell you what he finds and what it will take before starting work.
